Welcome Colin! I can relate to the "Money Pit" as that's what I've called both my Rangers. I'm on Money Pit 2 right now. 😁

I use full forscan, frds and a brand-new thinkcar system I have no codes and so far the only thing I haven't changed is the Ute itself 🤣😂 it's an option

Hey Colin, I've looked at your list on the other thread and didn't see anything related to the EGR valve. Have you already inspected this for gunk?

I'm going to be straight with you - I've not got the foggiest idea and I'm googling common issues with the 3.2 diesel and throttle surge.

Not very many members on our forum have got your engine as most of us are based in the USA and only a petrol engine was offered over here. So I'm just trying to give you my best effort but need to be transparent about where this info is coming from as I don't want to cause you to spend more $ ... erm... £££ throwing parts at your truck.

I also see you're a mechanic and believe me - as a professional in my own field - I understand how unhelpful "Well, I googled it" can be. So I'm sorry that's the best I've got.

Godspeed! I hope someone with real hands-on knowledge sees this.

Egr is not only new but bypassed and programmed out. This was also done after the fault begun 😒 but @Dr_Strangelove thank you for you input 👍🏻 the parts bomb is likely to get bigger

Welcome to the forum Colin, nice looking Ranger, unfortunately I'm not a diesel expert either. Here's to hoping that you can find the answers that you are looking for.

Curious about the 3 turbo replacements. What were the failures? Were they disassembled for a failure analysis?

Ok so og tubby , was replaced at 120k miles just because.
Number 2 was replaced due to failure either at build or by myself dirt/silicone was recorded in an oil sample
3 was replaced as a diagnostic guy said " it's got a chinesium actuator on it and it's giving a false reading 🤷🏻 which I thought was bolox but I had to take a chance, so it now has a brand new not exchange ford OG tubby on it 🤷🏻

Number 2 disassembled itself 🤣😂🤣
