DeeZee Damper Extra Black Clips

I installed the DeeZee tailgate damper tonight to ensure my arms stay weak and my kids don’t get hit by a falling tailgate.

Included in the package were 2 small black clips not listed on the parts list or instruction steps.

Does anyone know what these do?

Elbow braces to help you lift the tailgate up...

That damper looks very much like my

Tailgate strut assist.

Attach them to garage wall and mount your birth certificate to it to remind you you're a man.

I too found these extra clips in the package when I got my damper a few months ago. I just stored them away.
