I installed a 360 camera system to my ranger. A camera image processing box and a recorder box are installed behind the sync 3 head unit. The video from sync 3 controller and from the camera image processing box goes to the recorder box , then the recorder box forwards one of the video streams to the touch screen. I attached 2 photos of devices info.

Now the summer comes and the screen goes black frequently. After black screen it can recover by itself. I suspect it is caused by overheating.

What cooling solution shall I install to the head unit and camera controllers? I'm thinking to install fans with heatsinks used to cool a computer and a fan speed controller. Is that enough?

If it is not the heat problem, how to diagnose further?

Thank you in advance for your kind advises =)

I doubt the sync 3 system is the problem, although it is possible. The display is designed for a broad heat range.
I would check into the specs on the added equipment, many camera modules have an upper limit of around 130F which is easy to hit in the summer.
Mounting that equipment where it can get some airflow may help.

Could be as simple as scan rate not matching and overheating the head unit screen. Shuts down until it cools off enough and then restarts. Make sure your settings are the right ones

I know I have had issues with a black/blank screen a couple of times in my truck do to heat. Every time it was when I was parked with the dash in direct sunlight on a 95+ degree day. I had to do the soft rest each time to get the screen to work correctly.

Thank you for the replies guys :D
I have been to local Ford dealer for inspection, the electronic technician is not available today but the other technicians think it is an overheating problem and let me wait till September for further inspection.
Meanwhile I bought some heatsinks, PC fans and a controller, going to install them on each device as well as the screen. I will see if active cooling helps and put results back in this post.
