I have a 2020 Ranger equipped with tow package. I want to install the FORD OEM trailer brake controller. I am able to locate/isolate the 4 wires for the trailer brake controller.
Before I attempt this I've googled plenty of stuff.
It appears from all the videos I've seen that half show the install of the modules, switch and wire splicing and connections, and that's it, done with install. Is this correct?
The other half show additional wiring running along the door threshold, and up above the headliner, a much bigger job. Is that because these Rangers do not have factory installed tow packages?
And is there a way to test the wiring installation without attaching a trailer, an electronic tester maybe?
Thanks in advance!
