I've done both. I prefer the Chinese Restaurant so I don't have to cook or clean anything.

But I decided to cook my own Christmas Dinner at home*

*I'll be taking the easy route this year. And,,, I get to use my Christmas presents... a new glass, a new plate, and a new fork.

Just my wife and I for dinner. Made Beef Wellington, baked pots and roasted spaghetti squash. Forgot the scratch made beef demiglace, that's a labor of love. Over 8 hours to make, but mostly observing...

Wife and I are doing our own thing this year. Usually we’re driving all over town to see her family, my family, cousins, brothers, sisters, step-siblings, etc… This year we said nope! This is the last holiday we have together before the baby comes in a few months, we’re taking full advantage of staying home and doing absolutely NOTHING!!! Lol unfortunately, my on-call shift for work started at 6 this morning. No calls yet and I’m hoping it stays that way…

Jeanie baked us a turkey breast and a pumpkin pie.
We had mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans to go with it.
Simple but delicious!

Crab legs, homemade steak bites, chicken wings, couple varieties of pasta salads and a delectable chocolate silk pie that our grandniece's boyfriend made- he's 18. The crab legs cost nearly double what they were last year, and not as good.
