I know this has been beat to death...but was curious about the Tremors MPG! ...some history on the truck:

Purchased used, stock tire was a 265/70/17....previous owner switched to 275/65/18. Using a fancy shmancy online tire calculator this is a 1% difference. Stock set-up on ride, no level or lift (yet!).

Yesterday we drove 275km (171 US mil) we used 31lt (8 US gal)....this worked out to roughly 11/100km (21 US mpg)! ...truck was saying 10.5-10.7L/100 for the trip...pretty close I think. Not sure if previous owner had the speedo recalibrated!? Anyways I'm happy with these numbers!...most of these KM's..roughly 90% were highway traveling at 100-115km/h (60-70mph). Loving this little truck!!??

Sounds about right. I reset the mpg display at every fill-up and average 18.5-20 mpg on every tank in mixed driving. Slightly better this past week since I put new plugs in last week. I get slightly better on a straight highway trip but this truck doesn't have the big difference in highway mpg that my previous trucks did, on the other hand the city and mixed mpg is much better. I run either E15 88 or 89 gas. Your 1% difference in tire size isn't enough to matter.

oh yeah, a few weeks ago I had a nice 140 mile round trip all highway day trip and filled up before i left, then refilled to full after i got back home and checked the mpg on fill to fill use and I got 21.6 MPG. Stock tires and size. Quite pleased with the truck. I did not buy it for the MPG of course, but anything around 20 MPG for me is great.

One day last week I drove the same route to work (60 miles) and took it easy on the pedal. By the time I arrived I had averaged 26.2 mpg. I couldn't hardly believe it. I never went above 65 mph on those country roads (only two intersection stops) and used cruise control. On the return trip home I took another route and used the turnpike which has 80 mph posted for the speed limit. Never going above 75 mph by the time I arrived home the mpg had dropped to 23.4 mpg. Not bad at all for the Tremor version which is rated at 19/19 city/highway. Pretty happy with those numbers.
If I am in town with several stop and go situations 19 is pretty accurate. I found that it is all in the amount of pressure one pushes on the pedal, especially on take offs.

My 21 XLT Sport is now averaging 10L/100 mostly combined driving. New Michelin LTX stock tires(255/65/17) Tire size and tire weight make a difference for sure. The LTX M/S2 is rated at 114, just above stock 110. I actually did buy this truck for mileage because it can do truck stuff and still get SUV/small car mileage. :)

I am going to chalk up my bad MPG (on all our vehicles) to a regional aspect to our part of the country (USA) but for those who care to know, here we go.

City driving this time of year I am in the 13mpg range. Winter roughly 15mpg. My record in the winter when I tried was something like 16.8mpg but it was just not practical. Literally I am like 99% city driving. Usually in tow/haul mode or Sport mode driving normally/mild. On road trips I still manage between 20-22mpg hwy unless I have a head wind or drive more aggressive than usual, lowest hwy I have seen is 19mpg.

I do have 285/70/17 K02 on the truck and a 1" level for what it is worth. Overall I did not really see much of a measurable impact with the tires which have been on over 30k miles now.

This time of year means it is over 100F so the vehicle it turned on ahead of time just about any time I leave anywhere, AC on all the time. I seem to be good at catching a lot of red lights and in my community there are a couple of stop signs I have to deal with. In this part of the state there is not a lot of flat road driving. Either climbing or descending, even when we head to CA, UT or AZ.

Towing our 19ft travel trailer 6-13mpg hwy. 6mph means we had a +30mph head wind. Usually in the 8mpg range towing. 13mpg was coming back from AZ with a tailwind.

Honestly, I cant ask for more. Our 2023 Honda Pilot AWD is only 3-4mpg better and it is not lifted. I had a loaner 2023 F150 XLT FX4 2.7L for a week and I just remember the Ranger doing the same or a pinch better MPG wise, considering the Ranger setup I was happy with it.

Our last 2016 Pilot also got less MPG than most others so I just chalk it up to a regional issue. Ironically that Pilot Lifted 2" and taller tires and a roof rack got usually 1-2mpg better than the 2023 Pilot we own. Egg shape vs rectangle really made a difference!

I'll chime in on my 22 STX FX2.
Premium gas (93), mix of highway/city but leaning a bit more to the highway side, mostly in regular drive mode and driving fairly conservatively most of the time.
I'm getting between 24.5 and 25.5 mpg. I think that's pretty good for a truck. The truck computer indicates just a bit higher than that usually but it's still pretty close to real world. I did a nice long highway trip and averaged about 30 mpg.

I do admire the Tremors and any 4x4 configuration, and I admit that I get jealous of those sometimes when I see them, but for my purposes I didn't need four wheel drive. As an aside, I'm just curious: do any of you guys who drive the four wheel drive Rangers snicker when you spot a two wheel drive on the road? Or next to you at a stoplight?
Asking for a friend ;)

They probably don't sell many 2 wheel drive trucks at all in Canada, do they?
My 2019 Ranger was 2WD.
