Canceling order

Anyone else managed to cancel their order after putting a down payment? I'm losing patience with my current dealership, trying to time the sale of my personal but the guy I'm dealing with isn't keeping me informed in the least bit

I have cancelled my retail order and bought dealer stock. I got my down payment back.

When did you order? Do you have a VIN #?

you don't need the dealer.

Do you have the VIN? if so, you can track yourself on Ford's website.

No? a VIN should be created like 2 weeks after order. Call ford marketing (1-800-334-4375) and they will give you the VIN if it has been created.

Edit to add: all you need is the build sheet to call Ford. There are 2 numbers on that they use to provide the VIN.

So... after constantly emailing the sales manager to keep me informed on a timeline on when the truck will be on its way and after saying I’m thinking about cancelling my order. He goes and emails me saying it’ll be here on Wednesday. I’m currently off island till Sunday so that gives me not much time to sell my truck

I suggest going to JAG and get a power of attorney for someone you trust to sale your truck.

Unfortunately it’s parked at the airport. But being this is Hawaii, I’m hoping it sells quick. If not I’ll see what the dealership offers in a trade in or quick cash buy

Contact the dealer General Manager...he/she should straighten out any communication problems withe a Sales Manager...bosses tend to make things happen.

I didn’t have to put a down payment on when I put my order in. I ended up having a dealer find me a local one that had all the specs I wanted after all. My order is delivered but they said they’ll still take that truck in and resell it anyway so there was no problem with me exchanging
