Cab leaking

Just got a 2022 XLT Ranger a month ago and starting to smell a musty smell in the cab. Moved a back seat floor mat and the rug was wet underneath it. Pulled the back seat forward and found it was wet back there too. No water or water stains on the rear window or the wall behind the seat. Just on the floor.

I have a appointment with the dealer to check it out but has anyone had issues with this?

Hi Michael,

This has been reported a few times and the likely culprit is the rear backlite (Window).

So the dealer did a water test and found the culprit to be the two cabin vents in the back. They ordered two new vents and are reaching out to Ford to find out how to processed.

They've never seen this before and will have to remove the bed to get the work done.

Chances are the vents were not seated correctly or were installed in reverse and allowing water to seep in. This has been the issue for a couple people on here. Most cases they replace the vents and jute under liner. The carpet usually gets steam cleaned if it's not too bad.

Thank you. I was going to make sure they steam clean them. The musty smell was the only way I knew something was wrong.
