I got a little bump from behind. I know it's minor but when I look at the truck it's all I see! Anybody replaced this piece of the 22 piece (lol) bumper? Ford wants over $700 for that one piece of chrome! BTW, please spare me the hate about it being chrome. This is an old man's highway crusier, not an off roader!

Cool name. My uncle flew in B 24 bombers in the Pacific during WW2. They flew missions anywhere from 12-17 hours so their bomber group was called The Long Rangers. Way off topic? Have you checked with a good body shop to see if they can work the dent out?

That piece of chrome is the whole bumper. And yes they are unnecessarily expensive. The chrome ones just pretty much have to be replaced. Or lived with.

Its not the whole bumper, but its a good chunk of it. Its also a royal pain to replace as you have to take the whole top bumper cap off which is held in with push pins, and half the pins break off when you try to remove it...I know because I recently installed the OEM tow hitch on mine and I would definitely not do it again.

By whole bumper I meant it goes all the way across. The two pieces of chrome on either side are connected.

Find a place like this nearby.

This place squared up a chrome F-150 bumper for me after a small doe bounced off of it. It was quite a few years ago, but I think it was only $75. Chrome looked untouched when they were done.

Could always try to pound it out, but good chance you'll make it worse.

Looks like we have the same truck combo....silver with chrome. eBay is full of rangers being parted out you might find a truck hit in the front being parted out an get it cheaper. If mine were damaged I'd be tempted to replace them with black an buy black wheels.

There was a guy near me that put off road bumpers front an rear on his an was selling the stock ones but they were magnetic I think. Bad timing for fun spending too.

Correct, its not all one piece. However taking off that top cap (14) is a massive pain, definitely more labor involved there than you'd think...

Ok its designed a little different than most truck bumpers, good to know! Not surprised at all by the price. Yes great candidate for a salvage yard find. Car-part.com

Not sure yet
Not sure PDR (paintless dent removal) could be done on this particular part as its very thick. Thicker than normal body pieces that is. I agree if you can get a PDR tech to do that, that would be the route to go. ;)
