Just got the WeatherTech deflector today. This is the low profile version that doesn’t have a raised bit to send junk over my roof...this will only protect the front edge of the hood. I applied a ceramic coating to my truck recently, so I’m gonna wait a while before installing it

Does the weathertech visor just use double sided tape to hold it to the bonnet

Only uses the double sided tape. I’m going to lay down some clear bra film so the high-bond tape isn’t stuck directly to the paint. Already installed a clear bra on the entire front end except for the hood.

We use this 3M VHB tape at work all the time. It’s more than strong enough for this application...as long as the area it’s being stuck to is super clean. It can be released with lighter fluid if I decide to remove it later on

Has anyone had an issue running through the car wash with a deflector on?

Only one. The AVS added on emblem is history. No great loss.

Is this the hood protector or the actual stone and bug deflector? If the stone and bug, do you have any other pics from a different angle? I am still undecided between WeatherTech stone & bug and the AVS Aeroskin II, which a lot of people on this forum seem to go with. There are not any good pics on the internet of the WeatherTech, but plenty of the AVS.
