Bubbles on Dipstick

The Ranger uses an external Fluid Cooler, coolant lines run to the cooler vs transmission lines to the radiator.
So Transmision fluid does not flow through the radiator on the Ranger, however IF the fluids were intermixing then yes - the radiator should be replaced.
The Transmission Fluid Cooler should have been flushed or replaced along with the T-Convertor (if they used the old one)
If old fluid remained in the system, these are the only 2 ways for it to be induced into the system.

The new transmission comes with fluid and torque converter. Doesn’t seem like there would be much old fluid in the cooler.

One dealer says they come prefilled, the other says they don't. Either way my fluid was pitch black and was not transparent. I'll show side by side pic of what was pulled vs new.

I cannot wrap my head around how the fluid is that dark with a New Transmission & New Torque Convertor UNLESS the old torque convertor was installed and had the old dirty fluid still in it and or the transmission was remanufactured, and the used Torque Convertor was never flushed.

Something just does not add up with this - IDK What it is.

Yea, I'm with you. I'd be super pissed to get my truck back with dirty fluid after a 'new' transmission.

My thoughts exactly. I pulled that fluid at 15-20 miles on the new transmission because it was overfilled.

Some form of dealer shenanigans. The part number indicates new transmission. It comes with a converter and fluid. Can confirm this from others posting on here and my conversations with the tech who replaced mine ( an old timer who’s replaced plenty). So the dealer did something. I’d be crawling under and reading the data tag to see what’s actually in the truck.

I took photos of the tags & stamps. All I could decipher is the build date. It looked brand new aside from the fluid.

Yep that’s definitely new . December 2024 build. What the heck did that dealership do ?

Maybe, kept the new fluid for sale to to the next customer, and saved and put your old fluid back in - who knows, I don't have a lot of trust for "dealership" services.

I bought an (immaculate) secondhand Kia Sorento many years ago from a (well known local) dealer who was proud of the meticulously kept log book which showed engine, auto, transfer case, and diff fluid changes as per Kia timetable The first thing I do with any secondhand car is change all the fluids. Well the nicotine stains on the dipstick, and the filthy oil in everything I looked at told a different story. It had been a companies fleet car previously according to the log book, and I was sorely tempted to call that company and tell them to go somewhere else for their services. Car ran 10X better after my service and continued to improve for the next 100,000 Km I kept it for. In fact sorry I traded it it, was never running better.
