Don't get me wrong, I do not disagree with you in principal and sure as hell do agree with you a complete bumper replacement is superior.

I'm just saying any modification out of factory spec could have negative safety impact. We all make that personal decision.

That is generally true of most mods. And what makes these bumpers so unique. Theyve been physically crash tested to ensure total compliance with air bags, crumple zones, etc. ANCAP, the independent testing agency, actually found they improve crash performance in offset collisions.

The VAST majority of aftermarket parts available for the Australian Ranger are either not available here or just flat out don't fit our truck.

There are a lot of good reasons to buy a Ranger. Aftermarket support on a different continent and a different truck is not one of them.

Yes, question is how far do they run before they succumb to their injuries. I accidentally ran over a cat with my Focus once, struck the underside of the car multiple times. When I looked in the rear view, it was hauling ass back to his home. But that was the last time I ever saw it.

We were coming out of the mountains after going to see the Crazy Horse Monument in progress, and a deer decided to suicide on our front bumper. I pulled over and saw it laying the ground so took a look at the front of the car. when I turned back around that sucker was GONE! Cop and Tow truck driver spent 30 minutes combing the ravine looking for it but never did find it. Tow driver was pissed he was hoping to take it home. Cop said it would likely be mountain lion food by morning.

They are pricey for sure.

For a straight up grill gaurd I think Ranch Hand is widely regarded as the best. They mount at the tow hook mounts like most but also tie on elsewhere as you can see here.

Just don't expect much. There's a dude around here who mounted a winch to a brush gaurd. @erniek 's setup is NOT recomended!

Come on, seriously? Kangaroo was unscathed after being hit with a large solid object at 85MPH? Had to be scathed, just a little.

Truck knocked the f'ing scath right off that 'roo. Never did find the scath as they were scooping the other parts into a bucket. Hence the 'roo being unscathed.

I'm glad we don't have kangaroos here but we have mooses, over 1000lbs so I guess no matter what brush gard ill use, ill end up with moose on my roof ?

Have Built serious brush guards/bumper/skid plate combos for larger vehicles, oil field/construction etc, 3/4 ton on up, require heavier duty suspension then most 1/2 ton pickups, unless modified, yet for deer and smaller critters Ranch Hand is go to Brush Guard, take deer hits well, anything larger/taller usually end up in cab/windshield unless jacked way up, horses, bulls, mouse, elk literally require clips legs, deer etc then goes under, taking out steering, oil pans etc. even if brush guard protects the front.
