There’s a button in the console but I don’t know if it turns off the front along with the rear. Even if it does I’m pretty sure you’d have to push it every time. I wonder if the fix would be as simple as unplugging the sensors? So I installed it, looked like the sensors would be clear.... But they are not. The front 2 sensors alert every time I go to drive..
I've looked in the display menu's settings and can't find an option to turn off the parking aid. Of course that's what it says in manual.
I'm open for ideas.
I tried unplugging the sensors, but it triggers more warnings. Yes you have to push the button every time I start the truck but I contacted the people at Auto Start stop eliminator and they were able to make an eliminator for the parking aid. There’s a button in the console but I don’t know if it turns off the front along with the rear. Lift the front up 1.5 or 2 inches to take most of that rake out and that will fix that concern. The blocks to level it out at not that expensive and there aren't places on the truck to mount that equipment anywhere else really.I'm hoping someone comes up with one that doesn't sit so low to the ground in front. This Westin is nice but it takes away too much of the approach angle.
Did you consider taking the windscreen off the front of the truck, it's what I have on the front of mine and at this point I think I would remove it on my truck with the installation of this grille guard. Thoughts?More pics.
Thank you. I'm up 2.5 inches in the front and running 33's. I'll probably have to pass on the Bambi Basher (brush guard) as the trails I frequent in the San Juans here in Southern Colorado often require more approach angle than what the Westin will leave once installed. Just have to continue to be vigilant in dodging the deer and elk.Lift the front up 1.5 or 2 inches to take most of that rake out and that will fix that concern. If you can get that sensor issue resolved I may have to spring for this - I'm still concerned about protecting my headlights on the brushy roads I travel. It looks pretty good!More pics.
Sorry, when you say windscreen are you referring to the hood protector?Did you consider taking the windscreen off the front of the truck, it's what I have on the front of mine and at this point I think I would remove it on my truck with the installation of this grille guard. Thoughts?
Yes, I couldn't think of that for the life of me. What are your thoughts?Sorry, when you say windscreen are you referring to the hood protector?
