Bought a new Escape

We decided to get a new Escape ST line and traded in the Escape Hybrid. I feel like we made a good deal altogether for the wife’s daily driver. While there I got a picture of a Bronco Raptor that was MSRP listed for, $98,000.

Ford is calling the new one an suv but that's 100% a car. FWD car, it's a Focus.

Ford killed off all their passenger cars and is now making their suvs into passenger cars to save face as gas goes up again.

We have a 21 model escape. got it as a leftover in early 22 dealer accidently ordered the AWD model for FL and couldn't move it; i got them to take the 5,000 ADM markup fee off it and haggled them down on the price a little; the little 1.5 has some decent power, no issues at all with it except a few recalls that were taken care of. Enjoy the new ride.

What a striking difference compared to my previous 18' Escape. I wouldn't have guessed it was an Escape if I saw it on the street without seeing the Ford emblem.
How much did the Escape ST run you/your wife?

I got my wife a 2020 Escape Titanium right after I bought my truck, basically to keep her from driving it. All I can say is, no way Ford made any money on the Escape. That car has been in the shop for warranty at least a dozen times. The latest was the rear axle made noise going around corners, the clutch packs were worn out. Dealer said they are 'unrebuildable' so they replaced the whole thing.
It IS a nice riding car though. the 2 liter has a lot of pep, and the leather seats are some of the most comfortable I've ever sat on.

The MSRP was $32,230 and they found a $960 rebate for us. After 3 different trade in offers, we got $20,000 for the 2020 Escape Hybrid.

The front end looks like a kia. Not bad but I had no idea they redesigned it. 2012 was still my face year. Looked like a micro explorer.
