Hi everyone,

This is Eugene all the way from Malaysia. Hope all is well and everyone is keeping safe.

I have a 2012 Ford Ranger (registered in 2014) that I am slowly moding as part of a personal project.

I’m planning to replace the steering wheel with an aftermarket one, but I’m having difficulties sourcing for a steering wheel hub adapter (boss kit) for my model.

I’ve tried various websites but the model I’m looking for (especially the specific year) is just nowhere to be found. If anything, they have boss kits for the older Ford Rangers, and I’m not sure if they’d fit.

Would anyone know what kind of boss kit would suit my model?

I have my eyes set on an OMP boss that’s designed for the Ford Fiesta MK6... or even a Mazda BT-50..... These models were produced around the same year as my Ford Ranger.. but I’m not entirely certain if both models share the same steering column designs.

Ford Thailand Racing recently unveiled their Ranger Raptor racing truck, which sports an OMP aftermarket steering wheel (picture enclosed). I’m guessing they’re using an OMP boss as well... though I’m not sure which type it is.

The boss kit they’re using will definitely work on mine.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

I can't help you but I'd love to see the rest of your Ranger!

Thanks. Thinking of adding four-point harnesses, since I already have the seats.

But haven’t decided. Also recently added a Knight Rider light scanner. ?

Was a big fan of the show back in the 80s.

Cool Truck, you've got a manual transmission. We need those in the states.

Oh yes, it’s a manual. Been driving a manual transmission all my life. Auto just takes the fun out of it!

Speaking of transmission, the shot of the gear stick in the picture above was taken last year.

Earlier this year I replaced my gear knob with a T-handle. Always loved the look of the T-shifters on those old school muscle cars.

Got mine off Amazon. It’s actually pretty solid and heavy, which really makes shifting gears a lot smoother.

By the way... Going back to the original topic of this thread.. I don’t suppose anyone knows of a suitable steering wheel hub adapter (boss kit) that can be applied to the current generation Ranger? ?
