Undercover makes the Ford cases, and willing to bet they make the one you show....seems that to "bootleg" one with all the molds that it requires just to sell it for a few bucks less isn't worth the trouble.

I'm willing to bet that Under Cover has their boxes made in China and the Chinese factory decided to start making the boxes for other people. I did a search on Amazon and several different sellers/brands popped up.
This kind of thing happens all the time.

Looks the same and looks like it has all the same parts. BUT .... who knows the quality or thickness of the ABS used (if it actually is ABS).
Also great point by Grumpaw about possibly being those that didn't pass inspection or whatever happens in China factories ...

Good point on not knowing the type or quality of material used to make the cheaper boxes.
The thing about a lot of Chinese manufacturers is that they will make products to what ever specs a customer wants. So quality can be from very good to very poor depending on what the customers want and are willing to pay for.

Amazon open box is how I got mine cheap.
Not sure what Ranger owner bought it and realized they got two passanger side versions but.. even with an obvious box torn open. The screws/instructions/keys/etc were in factory plastic containers and everything was there. No damage to anything except the box they taped back up.
I think i paid half the normal for a nonFord swingcase.

Also, get the swing case. Freaking love mine. Might get a driver's side but the one holds all my emergency and tie down stuff. If I get the other it will be for if I need something out of the cab but locked up.
