I received a swing case from Xmas for driverside. I was wondering if anyone installed one with the plastic bedliner? It wants me to trim the bedliner but I'm not sure how much to cut off. Would appreciate pictures if anyone could provide.

I did it an I had to trim by the tailgate to mount it an open up the hole for the tie down point to make room for the latch. I don't think I can take a pic because I trimmed where the mounting holes are but left the cover close to the holes now the bracket holds the bed liner in place. I didn't buy the liner it was in the truck when I got it. I might rip it out an just get a bed mat.

I didn’t have to trim anything on mine. I expected to have to but it just for fine. I have a Ford liner that came with the truck so don’t know if that mattered at all.

I'm not sure if mine is from Ford but probably. I bought my truck lightly used and has duraliner in it. The problem with mine is the corners are to bulky for it to swing in.

Now I have another issue because I started putting the mount in prior to finding out I need to trim and now the top bolt is cross threaded. Just spins when I try to take it out.

Took a few. Not great quality but you can see right on top of the liner. It already had all holes pre-drilled to add the box.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
That's a spray in liner, I think the OP has a plastic drop in.

That's what I was expecting...haven't seen a successful install of tool box with drop in liner...that's why I'm sitting on a brand new still in box...lol...

I just went out in the light rain to take a pic or two for this. There's one screw in the middle of the liner by the tailgate I took out an pulled the liner back to see where the other two bolt holes were to mark an drill them.

Then I had to cut the liner away to make room for the bracket. This is were you cut. I over did it but I was planning on doing a spray in liner later or just ditching the drop in an getting a bed mat.

Here's how I did mine. Probably cut to much but can't really tell after the case is installed. I first used at dremel but it was taking long so I got heavy duty scissors. Then I got to some tough parts so I used hedge clippers which helped alot.

The plastic wasn't hard to cut. I just used a utility knife.
