Thanks for the confirmation! I also ordered the same cp-e Ford EcoBoost 2.3 MAP Intake Manifold Pressure Reference MAPtap... hopefully things go smoothly...

I am going to try and mount it near the A-Pillar using the small defog vent on the dash. Australian Rangers have a vent with a gauge mount built into it... I'm going to try and use this and see if I can get close...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018ALWOE/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But having these in the US market would be awesome...

Update.. I talked to HNcustoms down in Australia... they said they could make this vent gauge pod for LH drive Rangers! Its a bit pricey at $125 AU.

You can buy those meter cans are some of the larger auto parts stores. My issue with them is the mounting location. Routing the feed line and/or wiring requires a lot of work, and a hole win the ducting someplace.

The top dash tray is a $50 item that is replaceable.

By the way, you can't see it in the photos I have submitted, but besides the boost gauge, there is a small, stuck-on meter plate. That hold my Draggy Accelerometer. Yet another inexpensive bragging proof tool.

Why would you do all sorts of work to hook up a mechanical guage with vaccuum tubing when the engine already has a boost pressure sensor?
You can easily buy an OBD dongle and a wireless boost gauge.
You’re just adding points of failure.

Yes you can. But, some of these devices can cause other issues to arise. Check your owners manual for more data on this subject.

Curious, what devices and what other issues are they causing? I have not heard of any problems from monitoring information from the OBD port. Yes there maybe be some lag in the display, but you have access to alot more information than a simple dedicated gauge.

I don't know why... but every time I read your posts I read it in Mike Rowe's voice. LOL

I guess it is because we're doth into dirty jobs!

Although I have been an amateur radio operator (KØBG) for over 50 years, I spend most of my spare time in the field shooting "dirty" pigeons on my ranch land with a PCP airgun. Over the years, I've raced several different vehicles (mostly GT), and just love the feel of turbos coming up to speed (hence the Ranger). That, and the truck will go just about anywhere "I" wish to go.

And for the record this was not a 20 minute job. Getting the boost line through the rubber firewall grommet sucked. Also... you have to grind down/cut out a bit on the LH side of the vent itself to get clearance for the wires/tubing so they don't get crimped. Disregard my haxor job with the Dremel. You don't see it anyway once the ventpod is back in place though.

Yes it does. I thought I mentioned the best way, but using a nylon wire puller is the best way. I got mine at Hime Disappointment.

So got it done... shows vacuum at idle.. gets up to almost 20psi at full throttle. Also has a slight flickering under vacuum. Other than that trying to decide what color to go with! Might stick with white or turn it back to blue..
