Mine almost touches the taigate when it is down. It is like this on both ends. I took it to the dealer body shop and they supposedly replaced it. The supposed new one is even closer to the tailgate when it is down. The center over the license plate is fine. This makes it impossible to add a tailgate light bar.

How is your bumper top??

Thanks

George

Hey George, My 19 is the same. So much so that I had to drill out the top two license plate holes and new license plate frame to get them both to mount lower so it would clear the gate when down. And I searched for the thinnest plate frame I could find!

I remember that now. When I bought the truck it had a dealer license plate frame that hit the gate, and I just took it off.

As for the bumper, I have about half inch on either end, more in the middle.
