Agreed, to many drivers, not enough operators. By that I my, too many people don't know how to control the features of the vehicle that are required for driving safely. Just tonight on the way home from Harbor Freight to deal with the one issue I had there as a driver full dark high way driving with just DRLs. No about of signalling them worked either, I was behind them and cycled the lights off/on, flashed the high beams, repeated. Got in front of them, put my hand out and pointed at them, cycled the lights off for a moment and then back on. Gave up and a mile later I saw someone else attempting to do the same. Here in NC wipers on headlights on law, but too many people just use the DRLs, which does not meet the law, requesting DRL is not the same as requesting low beam at a minimum which will request parking/running lights as well. 100%, being seen is as important as seeing.Glad to hear they are working as you wanted, without modification. Did sound like you were having a good time working out ways to modify them for a while there.
As I have said in the past. I run my parking lights as part if my DRLs. Kind of a pet peeve of mine that people run around in foggy weather with just their DRLs and no tailights, if the have any lights on at all. Besides when I'm towing my TT, I like having my marker lights on. With my OLM lights the LED DRLs come on when I start the truck, and when I put it in gear the parking lights and fogs come on. The fogs are just cause I like the looks. ? I wish more people would use the Auto function on the switch. I have no problem with Canada's federal DRL law and wish the US would do the same. Why don't people realize the lights are not just to see by but BE SEEN.
