Hey everyone, my truck got some very minor damage on the beside. I took it to a few body shops to get some quotes on fixing it and there all charging over $1000 because they claim they have to remove the bedside in order to fix the very small dent. I don’t doubt that this is true however if I am going to be paying $1000 or more I would rather do a upgrade to the truck. I was going to do the Coastal Off-road high clearance bumper but I’ve decided I would rather do a bedside chop prerunner style on the stock bedside since it would just cut the dent out anyways. Has anyone done this yet? I want to cut it up at a angle and then do a super simple tube style rear bumper. I’ve attached pictures of the RTR funrunner, it has the style I want but it’s on fiberglass bedsides I want to do this on my stock bedsides. Any advice you guys have would be very helpful. Thank you!

What damage? Touch up paint maybe to cover up the keying someone gave your truck. Looks like an arrow.

Bumper scratched from railroad log
Scratches from stuff
New pin stripes from a muddy road, just got them, lots of spinning tires
Scratch from scrap metal in the bed.

Bed has dents and stuff. What would i do if i had a car? Wax it baby it probably. Lol

Okay let me rephrase this.? I want to do a bedside chop on my truck and was wondering if anyone has done this on the stock bedsides?
You need to be first sir ! , dont let these guys talk you out of it , thats some major damage you got there , almost a safety issue NOT to cut it out ...
