Have any of you had any luck with one of these? I'm going camping in July in Wyoming and need a place to sleep.

Also wondering if it would fit. One of the reviews said it worked on thier Chevy Colorado.

I have no experience using in bed truck tents, but I'm looking at this one. https://www.napieroutdoors.com Specifically the Sportz tent.
I'm interested in them too but worry that they may be too confining in my Ranger short bed. Less than 4ft wide between the wheel wells for two people Should be fine for one person and much cheaper than an RTT.

I bought the Napier tent, saw them at SEMA last year. Build quality is great, haven’t tried it in the ranger but we tested it in the super duty and it was pretty sweet! One option for more room is to get an air mattress that fits the bed and “hides” the wheel wheels. They might not be that noticeable because they are in the front corners of the bed. Hopefully be going camping next weekend so I’ll take pics and report back.

For reference the super duty has an 8 foot bed, minus 2 feet for the transfer tank minus another foot of Rigid tool boxes, so roughly a 5 foot bed.

35% off right now FYI
Thanks for posting about the sale. I was planning to order Napier 57066 for my 5 foot bed from Amazon and you saved me almost $100.

Reviews were good except for some wrong pole lengths causing broken fiberglass poles that several people had reported . I hope that problem got fixed.

I have the exact same tent and mattress. It fits a little further back because I also have the Ford roll-up cover against the cab window when the tent is in the bed. I hope to get some camping in with mine soon too.

Seriously need one of these tents and air mattresses but I'm 6'1". I know that with the tailgate down the bed is over 6' and it looks like the napier tent sides extend all the way to the end of the tailgate but what about the interior? There's only a height on their website and not something like maximum length or width. Has anyone used the longer 76" inflatable in their mid size truck with the tent? I'm going to measure the actual length of the bed/tailgate after work but thought someone may have already tried this combo.

What length is your mattress ISUACE?

85.5 inches so should work in theory. Other problem is that it doesn't look like the wheel well cut outs on the mattress match up with the wheel Wells in the Ranger.

I put a shell on mine and have a tent on the back of it. Truck air mattress with tailgate extension. I'm 6'2" and my work and I sleep fairly comfortable back there.
