Thanks for the update and pics - it looks great! I think it was P0P's that also mentioned the spring appeared weaker than he expected. I like the close fit to the bumper when retraced. Assume that's it's easy to climb up and down into the bed? Let us know how it works out over the next couple of weeks.
The step is a bit narrow. At least in comparison to the one I had on my 2017 Taco. It is about half under the Tailgate (from the Left edge) as I have it set up. The last picture shows what it looks like from up on the tailgate. So you’re close to the tailgate getting up and down. But given the bumper profile, it would stick out pretty far to the Left edge of the lower bumper if it was any wider or I adjusted the Step further to the Left. A decent compromise to have it look good and not be too conspicuous.

Directions said 4 hours to install. One of the very few times I beat the estimated install time. Took about an hour and 20 or 30 minutes (not counting time studying the instructions and reading this thread). One man job IMO unless you want someone to get you the tool you left on the bench. I used both shims/spacers since I didn't want to have to go back and add them - that would be a total uninstall and re-install. Would leave at least one of them out, maybe both, if I did it again.
