This is our first stop on our month long trip we're taking in June. We were in Durango back in 2019 and loved it there and skipped the train to SIlverton as we had just done the Grand Canyon Railroad train a few months before. Will definitely be taking it this time. Thanks for the pictures!

It was a lot of fun. We couldn't go all the way to Silverton because of the risk of avalanches this time of year. We will go back in the fall.

Yep....we did this trip....mistake was the open car seats...we ate soot the whole trip...need the enclosed cars.... Going up...get the right side of the cars...going down....Left.... JMO...
Great lunch in Silverton and the train turns around while dining on the Y up there... My Grandpa was an engineer on steam engines for Missouri Pacific, so I learned a bunch of Railroad terms...
Have to find my pix on some mislabeled CD's...
