Good day, I was just looking at the BDS site to see about getting a kit to lift from the +2" I have now to something more substantial.

The notes for all the 6" kits say it's not compatible with the Tremor models but I really have no understanding as to why. In the site images they do have a 6" lift on a Tremor, so I'm left wondering what the real difference is between models and why wouldn't something work?

Was curious to see a Tremor with 6” lift so I went to their website and they show an FX4 not a Tremor. ?‍♂

Directly off their website. Has the nostrils and the side steps. Can't imagine why anyone would go out of their way to upbadge with either of those options unless it's a Tremor.

Didn’t see that one. It does have the Tremor nostrils and steps but those are easy bolt on items. I would ask them if it is a Tremor and if so why do they say you can’t do a Tremor.

Looking through the kit I can't imagine any reason why it wouldn't work on a tremor. They're not THAT different... Only thing i could think of is maybe due to the revised rear driveshaft, but again its not that different and i think its only different at the rear axle itself...

I'd recommend reaching out to them and see what they say.

They said that the Tremor pictured is one they did for them.

Yeah, that's what I got too. Seems bizarre to have the images with a kit that's not compatible. Also didn't get any clarity on what's different either. Guess I'll just look into something else.

Joints makes sense since I'm just about maxed out in the front with a 2" level. Almost thinking trading it in for an fx4 might not be the worst idea either.

DON'T TRADE IT! You'll lose a shit ton of money. Trust me, I already thought about going that route.

I guess at this point it's better to mention my goal and figure out how to get there from where I'm at.

There's a deep ditch along some powerlines I can't get through. It's pretty deep and the rear end will drag/smush in. Jeeps on 35"s will clear it no problem.

Maybe just invest in one of these things to bring along for the ride?

The kit may work with the Tremor, but it also requires much bigger wheels(20 inch at least I f I recall). If going OffRoad you want to keep the wheels no bigger than 18 inches so you can still have enough sidewall for airing down. Have a sidewall that is too small and you will tear up tires OffRoad.

I did read through the installation guide and from what I can tell is it has more to do with backspacing then clearance around the hub, it's possible I'm misinterpreting that too.

I would not be surprised since it does change the spindle/knuckle on you. Also you will have a better time if you keep the total lift around 2.5-3 inches anyway. If you are willing to spend the money and want as little work as possible take a look at Dobinsons and Old Man EMU. Both will lift in that range(be aware it will be a little less on the Tremor)and will require less work to fit and easier to get into factory specifications for alignment.

hmm you could trim up the rear end a bit and get a high clear bumper etc. a few guys here have them. often times clearing an obstacle is about the line and approach. maybe try it from a different angle
