Strange but true. Must have been yet another cost save!
Thanks for the part number. Went to dealer but the vent doesn’t seem to be order-able. The entire upper dash pad needs to be replaced to revert the gauge revision on the 2022 (since I had to cut it out) and I assume the 2023 my also. So beware! I will try to look for a used vent from a junk yard or just let the truck go with the gauge when or if I ever sell it. Thanks again.

Installed my HN Customs gauge pod mount this afternoon. Fit and finish of this handmade piece is incredible. 10/10 and worth the wait.

Here are some pics of the install. Had to drill a hole in the dash to route the wires to the OBD port. Took my time and it came out great.

Mine was the same as @RazzleRanger, glued in place! Had to cut around the seam with a knife to remove it. The Aeropod doesn't even fit well, it's a little loose so I guess I need to glue that in too. There are no clips or anything on the vent (what's left of it).

Added a new page layout to the idash.
1) Horsepower from the ECU
2) Torque calculated by the ECU
3) Fuel Rail Pressure
4) Accelerator Pedal Percentage (assume this translates to WOT).

The funny thing is my foot was to the floor for a good second so category #4 saying the throttle was only 77% open was enlightening.

I'm curious, does anyone know how the ECU is able to read the HP and TQ numbers. I had this same feature on my Stinger, but was always curious as to how it "knew" the HP/TQ I was putting down. Is it just calculating based on speed/RPM etc?

So I started with a small pilot hole and stuck my hand up under the dash till i felt the bit to make sure nothing was in the way. There is what feels like a hvac plastic box/line in that area you want to avoid. I ended up using step bits so I didn't accidentally drill too far down. I also made sure the hole was big enough for the molex connector to go through. Didn’t want to mess with de-pinning it.

My test wire was a thicker gauge that was more rigid so I could route it in the dash. Once i got my path, I taped the harness to the wire and pulled it through.

The throttle body doesn’t follow the pedal directly. It’s rarely fully open at wot unless the tuning specifically calls for it. It moves the throttle body to control power and limit boost.

thank you for the info the install went flawless.. very easy to install once you remove the ac vent panel, still getting it all setup the way i want it to work, may go either with the chrome ring or the black ring the carbon fiber looks ok but ....

Anyone with an xlt that cut the vent out have before and after pictures? Trying to decide if I want to cut mine or not. Wonder how hard it is to remove the dash pad.
