I have the Trac Electronics module and it works great.

I have an install how-to with pics somewhere on here but I can't find it now.

Basically you pull off the trim piece on the arm rest and then you can access the clips that hold in the window switch and release them without breaking them.

I have the Lariat, too, and it's just the driver's side which is Auto Up/Down.

For those of you that have the RedTek, does it override that silly nonsense where locking the rear windows even locks them from the driver's console? I have a toddler that loves to play with that switch, so I'm constantly having to lock & unlock those rear windows, which is a bit of a pain. On my 2010 Escape, I could lock them for the rear passengers, but still control them from my console, so it's kind of stupid that my 2020 doesn't allow me to do the same.

We have to use modules from Australia and software from Russia to get our Rangers to work like things used to in America!

I had a red Tek module. If you have a Lariat, be careful when removing the door panel, there is a LED tube for the door handle ambient lighting that I broke. Otherwise it worked as advertised.

Jim, do you remember ever trying to use the rear window lock feature after you installed that? See my above post re: why I ask.

Sorry I don't recall. I don't think I ever even had anyone in the backseat after I installed the module.

I also got the Redtek window controller. Works great, no issues and it’s been in for 3 years.
Question: can you still just crack the windows? If you click down wait a second then click up, do they stop at whatever point they got down to or do they just come all the way back up?

I bought the redtek module and was about to install today then wondered if this was a problem where the windows can only be all the way up or all the way down after install.

You can still stop it partway, though not 100% sure on the exact process.

I just know I do it all the time.

I'll take note this evening when I go back out.

Awesome, moving to install this evening then. Let me know what ya find.

I just checked the paper work and it says if ya hold longer than about 0.5 seconds it releases the window for normal function.
