I normally turn it off anyway... but I forgot today while I was driving.. It took me a while to notice it.. the indicator comes on when at a full stop but the engine doesn't shut off.. Guess I'll swing by Ford next week and get them to take a look.. Has this happened to anyone else?

You're lucky. I wish mine would stop working.

Bahahaha I really don't care about IT... I just want to make sure there isn't a more serious issue...

I noticed today I forgot to turn mine off, came to a slow stop and it didn't cut off either til I pushed a little harder on brake pedal. Played with it a few times an was able to stop slowly without killing engine, at lest on mine I have to push pedal down a good bit before it works

Mine seems to work when it wants to, sometimes it's off during cold weather, and sometimes it tries to work at 0F. Yesterday, the engine would cut off at a stop like normal, but then start immediately back up after 1 second without me changing anything or moving off the brake. I ran the battery down a little with the headlights with the motor off (11.9v) and then on the next key cycle it worked properly, so I'm chalking it up to "It's got a mind of it's own" and forgetting it.

Please excuse me for making a totally useless and UNEDUCATED post.... as Jon54 pointed out... if you turn the defrost off... it works just FINE!.

I suspect defrost (defog) is considered a safety thing.

Had a 17 Escape that did the same thing. There are a lot of variables that need to align for the stop start to function. Ambient temperature, engine temperature, engine idle load, closed loop, battery state of charge voltage, even the rear defroster needs to be off. Accy loads will also keep it from functioning like a heavy load on an accy power port. There were times it took 30 miles of driving before the parameters aligned and allowed the start stop to initiate.
