Anybody Add Front Camera?

Has anyone added a front camera? Would like a camera that would work similar to the reverse camera. I realize it likely would not come on automatically say when parking. I you have added one tell me about it, where you have it mounted, where the screen is, how you have it wired, etc.

Surprised no one has answered this. The cleanest and most complete installation would probably be one of the Wolfbox rearview mirror dashcams.

Seems like it would be right handy for 4 wheeling to see what you're about to tackle. For me it would be all about parking since it's hard for me to tell where the truck ends.

Yes, I have a front aftermarket camera (although it's marketed as a back up camera)! My brother installed it for me. Yes, it does require a manual switch plugged in 12v.

My brother probably took longer to install it than what some of the reviewers on Amazon said it took them, but he did a really meticulous job for me. Even ran the cable through some plastic tubing he had already on hand (don't know what you really call it). Fished it through a tiny slit he made in the rubber boot near I believe the brake pedal, to fish the wire into the cabin.
I just set the camera monitor on the dash in that little recessed area on center of dash, with a little bean bag type camera holder.

It has the colored zone lines like you have on the oem rear camera.

The Garmin unit in my truck accepts multiple cameras. So I have both a front and rear. It's one of those 'you don't appreciate it till you have it additions'. The rear helps a lot when I have a kayak in the bed and the gates down. I'm watching the ground with the Ford BU camera. The Garmin is on the bumper so I can see how much more room I have till the kayak hits something. The front is great for seeing how close I am in tight spots: cars, curbs, protesters, ...

It's a Garmin Drivesmart 65 w/ (2) W/L BC 40's and (1) Wired BC 30. All of which are probably replaced by newer products. I have (1) BC 40 on the front license plate. The BC 30 is wired to my acc outlet in the truck bed and mounted to the top of the cap window. The last BC 40 is tentatively going to be mounted to my travel trailer lic plate.

Ranger is not listed under Compatibility. Works good on your Ranger ?

Ranger is not listed under Compatibility. Works good on your Ranger ?

Emailed them. Customer service confirmed universal ford will fit the Ranger. Will report back this weekend as it arrived today and will install this weekend.
