One annoying thing with my Lariat is when I stomp on it, the sound of a 500 hp V8 is pumped over the sound system ?. Puts a big smile on my grandsons face and really impresses him ?. Still sounds like a sewing machine motor to those on the outside. Wish there was a way to turn it off. Not sure if the Xlt has that.
I have had three 2.3s that has the pumped in engine sound not one of them even remotely sounded like a 500HP v8. The two Mustangs just sounded weird, the Ranger was not annoying but it sounds better without it. In all three cases I used For scan to turn it off.

Probably been said as I haven't read all 11 pages.

Heated mirrors is all I want, same in this day heated mirrors are not standard. My '13 f150 XLT had them.
Rest, eh I can turn a key and the tremor has fake leather ?

So I currently have a 2023 Lariat Tremor with 500A on order. I'm beginning to have second thoughts because of the uncertainty of getting the LED headlights and fog lights. It's pretty much the only reason I ordered the Lariat. And I would hate to have to walk away and start a whole new order. I'm considering dropping my order to an XLT Tremor with 302A. It would save me $1500 which would probably end up being the cost to upgrade to LED headlights after the fact. Not really interested in any of the aftermarket LED headlights. And I would probably go Diode Dynamics for the fogs.

So outside of leather seats, push button start and power folding mirrors, is there anything major I would be losing by dropping to the XLT with the 302A?? I know there are some smaller changes like ambient lighting and body colored exterior bits. But it seems like most everything else standard on the Lariat 500A is included in the XLT 302A

Did any of you regret going with an XLT over a Lariat???
I wish my XLT had power adjustable seats.

Your XLT 302A has power folding mirrors?? As in your push the button on the dash and the whole mirror folds in???
My XLT has the power folding mirrors and blindspot. Yes I have the button on the dash.

I have the 302a package on my 21 and the only things I wish it had are push button start and the better sound system. These aren't deal breakers but the heated seats were. I'm happy with my XLT!
With the push button start you can't set your mirrors to extend automatically. You need to be able to retract the mirrors and turn off the engine. With the key in accessory position push the mirror switch. When you next start the vehicle the mirrors will automatically extend.

I opted for the Lariat & very happy I did.
Seats, cluster, push button start, LED lights, etc are all in my wheelhouse.
Yup, the same and a great benefit after the fact is that a XLT is more epsnsive now than my Lariat new.

No regrets. A 2020 xlt was available used with low milage and geat shape. I had a short list of wants and it met them. Electric driver seat, dual zone climate, ability to tow more than 4 k & 4x4. The xlt had; 302a package, tow package and FX4. I had a 2001 Sport Trac with keyless entry and never used it in 15 years. I did get an engine cover because it rains a lot in my area. I miss the electric rea window I had in the sport trac but that is a small thing and not really worth the price and wait.

I’m lucky I guess, but I adjusted my XLT seats on my test drive and 17,000 miles later I haven’t moved them. Love the XLT seats.

What does this have to do with my post? BTW - I still like my XLT with the 302a package.

I drove an Edge for three years and it was a great road car, except for its dim lights. I cursed those dim lights every time I drove that car. I bought a ā€˜22 Ranger Lariat. It’s LED lights light up the night and I was so happy to have those lights. I would go for the Lariat trim if only it was necessary to get the LED lights.
