I went with the ones from here:

https://accessories.ford.com/products/ranger-2019-2021-black-platinum-tailgate-lettering-1

I like them and had no issues with installs and no issues with them not maintaining their adhesion.
Yup 10-4. I was at my dealer awhile back for the seatbelt recall and they had a n F-150 on the show floor with these. Had to have them for my Carbonized Grey '21. they are like a "black chrome" in daylight, reflecting like a black mirror viewed head on, and opaque black viewed at an angle. neat effect.. oThey are made of aluminum and adhere with 3M pressure sensitive backing. No problems with either a touchless or soft touch car wash.

Even though the tailgate is aluminum you'll never be able to lift it now. :frown: It's the price we pay for certain luxuries.?

Also these letters are so easy to instal it's not worth the chance of damaging the tailgate taking it off. The ABS letter took about 10 minutes to apply, it actually took longer to get the plastic protective coating off the face of them. The vinyl letters are a little trickier because they're thin and you have to wet them and slide them around to get them perfect. But even then I just sat on an empty 5 gallon bucket and it only took about 30 minutes. The dash and grille vinyl letters are way harder bessie they're so small but either of those two tailgate ones are super easy.

I am considering ordering these tailgate letters in Matt black for my Saber with STX trim. I would appreciate any advice or feedback positive or negative that you've had with any brand name of these letters. Also, can they be removed without damage to the paint? Thanks guys!

I bought these and like them. The letters aren't beveled, more square and they don't cover the entire RANGER letters but they still look good. I also got the black and they seem to be bigger and beveled. I'm considering switching to the back ones as I have an Oxford white and like the black/white contrast.

The only ones I have experience with are the vinyl decals from TVD. I installed mine soon after I bought my Ranger in 2019. The decals are very thin, and so were a challenge to install. But after a bit of effort, they're installed. And pleased to say that they look as good now as they did 3 years ago.
Same here...

I do like them! I kind of feel the white strip blends in a little too much with the white car.... ??‍♂

I got the Matte Black to go with the black STX trim.

So Ford has OEM Ranger letters?
I did not know this...what are they made of? Do they come in colors?

I have the raised plastic ones on, same as posted and they have gone through 60+ washes since August, look the same. Every few washes I go in after while drying to really clean the edges nice and good.

Yeah I think that's what I'm going to go with.
I think that would look really nice with your white. Let us know how you removed them and if they came off without messing up the paint.

$80.00 for a whole 10 minutes of work.
There were some glitches with Sync 3 updates when I 1st got my truck and I thought the Dealer would show me how to do it as new customer courtesy. No way...their charge was $130! I waded through it myself and now have it down. I insist on doing everything that Is within my capability!
