I am considering ordering these tailgate letters in Matt black for my Saber with STX trim. I would appreciate any advice or feedback positive or negative that you've had with any brand name of these letters. Also, can they be removed without damage to the paint? Thanks guys!

The only ones I have experience with are the vinyl decals from TVD. I installed mine soon after I bought my Ranger in 2019. The decals are very thin, and so were a challenge to install. But after a bit of effort, they're installed. And pleased to say that they look as good now as they did 3 years ago.

I have something similar:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082T15G7C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
These are raised 3D ABS like yours. Not hard to install just clean the area well with IPA. Be sure you have it lined up correctly before you press them in place, as that 3M adhesive sticks something fierce. I have driven mine thru auto washes several times, those babies are not coming off. Frankly, they stick so well that if you attempt to remove them, you will either remove paint, or if lucky, the adhesive will stay behind. But you'll probably break the lettering in the process.
I have also used decals from TVD Vinyls on the fender vents. Those went thru auto washes too and are holding up very well.

Paul, I know you're looking for matte black but I have these and even though they're glossy it really isn't to shiny. They've held up great in the sun/heat here and you have a similar climate there. You could also look at the sellers eBay store to see if they come in matte.

I went with the ones from here:

I like them and had no issues with installs and no issues with them not maintaining their adhesion.

Jim I had these too and removed them for the ones I posted above. They're super easy to remove, just grab a corner and peel at an angle slowly. I just liked the raised ones better but these are a good choice too. If you use a. lot of soapy (Dawn dish soap) water in a spray bottle they're easier to instal as they slide around for better placement.

Lol I did see the RANREG or something similar on eBay too. Those were definitely coming from someone who's dyslexic. ?

Glad to hear that those were easy to remove without harm to the paint. Do you know if the adhesion was 3M?

The vinyl ones are not 3M they're to thin. They're a peel and stick application, it's just a sticky backing.

Do these vinyl ones stick on OK and also are they safe to remove?

These are the ones I first bought and then changed over to the ones I linked from eBay. They stick great and are really easy to take off. When applying them just use a lot of soapy water in a spray bottle and you'll be able to slide them into place. Removing them I just grabbed a corner and peeled them off slowly. It was still hot out here so they came off easy but you can always warm them up with a hairdryer.

The ones on the link that I'm looking at are raised plastic and evidently not vinyl but they don't indicate what kind of adhesive is used. 4.8 rating. Are these the same type that you have now?
