Sorry Tony, not a turbo. I did try the WRX 6 speed manual first but figured I would loose my licence in the 1st week or maybe the 1st day! Ha ha.
I can still off road with this if needed. The worst I do is across a farm field to get to the maple bush to make maple syrup. Moving to a 2024 Crosstrel Wilderness. Pics below.

Also look at any pre 2014 Subaru with a stick shift....they can all be towed 4 down. Nice thing about Subi's like the pre 2014 Forrester is they were most likely owned by an adult....therefor NOT modded and well maintained. With our previous motor home we towed a 2013 Crosstrek (Stick) over 60,000 miles in a 8 year period with ZERO problems. A Forrester would give you more interior room at just a slight weight gain over the Crosstrek.
I didn't know you could flat tow a subie. Good info. Thanks

Only up to 2014 and only a standard shift. Beginning in 2015 Subaru discouraged any flat towing with their standard shift vehicles. And now all Subi's are equipped with the auto trans, and none are towable.
Up till around 2014-2015 Motor Home Magazine put out a yearly edition with all the vehicles that were towable 4 down, and there were hundreds of assorted manufacturers, makes, models. Now I doubt there are more than a handful.

Despite what these Brits say, it's not called the 2 "see vee", it's "deux chevaux" which literally means "two horses", a reference to its horsepower.
When my dad was in university, he studied for a while in Paris, and a friend of his had a 2CV. One day, they took it for a road trip to watch the Tour de France; apparently the road trip was more exciting than the bike race. They'd barrel past everyone on the downhills, and get passed by fully-loaded trucks on the uphills, then once they got to the race, they opened the doors, unclipped the seats, dragged them out of the car, and had "couches" to watch the cyclists race past.

There are three Saturn Ions still running in the US. They also can be towed 4down.

I remember when Saturn's were first introduced in the 80's. One of the selling points that they pushed was the ability to tow a Saturn behind a motorhome.....great selling point for the time period.

The 375cc air cooled engine actually produced 9hp. the 2CV refers to taxable hp, an overly complicated formula uses to determine licensing.
More about the beloved 2CV here.

We still have a 2012 Subi Impresa Sport and it is still running like new today. It's one of the reasons I went to Subi again. The Wilderness model gives me the 4 wheel clearance I still need but small enough for my wife to drive it. Seats are very comfortable in the 2024 model.

Have a 2018 Forester with KO2 tires and full aluminum skid plates. Took that more places then I should have stuck a few times. With lots of digging and hand winching to get it out. Only real issue is CVT likes to heat up real quick, need to monitor it and let it cool down sometimes. Have the Ranger now so do not take it off road anymore..

And if you were pulling them, they would not be creating sludge in the engine

We flat towed a 2006 CRV 50,000 miles with no mod's and no issues. We now flat tow the Ranger, a few more steps but still no issues so far, I added a tow vehicle battery charger for insurance.

Have fun with the Subaru!! Sounds like it covers your needs. FIL is looking at the wilderness Forester and they are sweet, lots of dirt roads out here but not much actual off road areas.

Here's my Ranger moving my DIY wilderness edition
