Had my SuperCab for a week. Does any one know what the ambient lighting covers? I see foot wells, center console, and door handles. Dealer told me cupholders and rear seat area. Not seeing either one of those.

They went cheap. I see those 3 only too. In my 2015 Explorer, it was those and cupholders and even back passengers and cup holders too.

I see Interior Light Kit only mentions foot-wells... Hmm.

I guess I haven't paid attention when it has been dark. I've not noticed the ambient lighting - I see it in our CMax, but haven't noticed it in the Ranger yet.

Might not be turned on... On the ford screen swipe all the way right and there should be the option and then colors to choose.

I've seen that and chosen a color but every time I go back to that screen the color I chose is not selected. I will have to experiment a bit to figure it all out.

Maybe need to do a master reset of the sync 3?

I guess it has never been dark enough (or I didn't pay attention) - I saw it tonight - the front door handles, the foot wells and the center console. I didn't see anything in the cup holders or the rear seat, though. It cycled thru the colors and it stuck, so not sure what I was doing wrong before.

Those 3 areas mentioned are the only areas that light up. I will be testing the interior lighting kit that F150LEDs makes for F-150s on my Ranger. With black carpet and floor mats you don't get a lot light reflection. There is no factory lighting for the rear foor area. I use red in the front door handles and the front foot well areas. It's a shame they didn't make the rear door handles on a SuperCrew light up as well.

I also have some of the lighted door sills that F150LEDs makes on their way to test for fitment on the Ranger. If everything I am testing works out, I will post a thread on the forum. ;)

On ambient lighting...
What color is everyone using?
I go with blue in both my vehicles.

I have very light sensitive eyes, in my wife's Edge (I have an XLT Ranger, so no lights) I use either red or orange as it's the most friendly to my eyes. I even have to run the dash cluster at full dim when it's dark out.
