I feel your pain about oil change messes. I had a Mustang and I learned (the hard way) that the drain plug bolt is perfect size to plug the hole in the catch can you put under the car...

Installed some new pod lights today. I used the Diode Dynamics brackets and Rigid Lights. Still need to finish up the wiring, but I think they look great.

Did a little wiring clean up.

Finally mounted my brake controller knob using the Redarc adapter in one of the outlet holes. Looks clean and easy to reach.

Also, wiring in the A Pillar lights was a challenge. I was originally using the Ford Install Guide as my reference. It appeared to show the wiring passing through the main firewall grommet. Don't do this. It's a complete pain, hard to reach, and has no previsions for it like my F-150 did. Instead, there is a grommet/plug just above that's much easier to reach.

Just cut the end of the plug off and pass the wires through.

Then for the switch, I found a molded in hole in the lower panel under the steering wheel that was just the right size, just had to open it up and install the switch.

It's a little low, but still reachable. I don't use the lights that often anyways. Figured that panel is easily replaceable if I ever decide to undue everything.

Only other updates is the truck got it's 15k mile oil change. No issues as expected.

Also picked up a wiring diagram just to browse through for future ideas. (Uplifters?)

That's all for now.
