I have a basic understanding of the issue with hub-centric wheels and fitment. I'm getting a set of Black Rhino Armory wheels for my Ranger. Will I need hub rings for them? Thank you!

For my other cars with 4 lugs, yes...for 6 lugs, I torque them down slowly in star pattern while jacked off the ground and appears that it's not needed...

I didn't use hub rings for my aftermarket wheels and I have had no issues.

I purchased hub rings for my Method wheels not relizing the wheels i got have push through hib covers. Needless to say the rings didnt work with the hub covers. I have yet to have any vibration or shakes without them. Torque them to spec and check every once in a while.

I think the balance of the tire has a big portion to shakes and vibration. I got my set with sensor and road force balanced from tire rack. Seems to be holding up so far.

Hey John,

You certainly don’t need them if the diameter of the centre bore of the new wheel is the same diameter as our hubs. When that centre bore is larger, they are a “nice to have”. They aren’t very expensive - usually plastic, sometimes aluminum - Black Rhino might have them - they’ll just need to know our hub diameter. I believe it is 93.1mm but double-check your manual.
