I am not a fan of the Raptor grille due to the GIANT Ford lettering. I know, I am in the minority, but it just looks gaudy. I want to replace my hard to clean XLT factory grille and I was looking at the AFN grille. Similar design to the Raptor, but no lettering or badging. Just nice open design. I was wondering if anyone was using this and how is it holding up to chips (the finish) and how is the fit?

Here is a link to one for sale on Stage 3: 19-20 Ranger AFN Replacement Grille (stage3motorsports.com)

I want a "RANGER" grille...because the 95 places I have where it says "Ranger" is just not enough!!! I even have a sign in my garage that says "Ranger parking only!"

Got me wondering though, how do you mean the XLT grill is harder to clean? I dont go mudding or anything with mine, so I never have an issue with cleaning the worst of the road grime and bugs from mine. A good soap, wash brush and high pressure water and it's clean.
It's annoying trying to "wedge" my towel between every single one of the "blades" of the XLT grill to soak up the water & to wipe clean.
If not, water will pool-up on the painted trim/flaring that's between the grill & metal bumper.

I typically just hose it off during the wash & rinse process and save the wiping & cleaning aspect of the XLT grill for last...

Get yourself an air compressor and blow it out...

Here's pics on the truck. Pretty cool

I like it much better than the Raptor grill

Almost makes the truck look like an anime fish with 3 baby teeth. Apologies if I ruined it and you can't unsee that now.

@Nevada_Bob , how'd you install the lights? I just got it and it looks like the only way is to splice into the factory lighting harness for the turn signals/headlights, but I'm worried cutting into those will trigger code warnings with the rest of the truck.

Mind sharing what you did?

Sorry, Ean. I merely posted pics from the Westin site cuz I really liked the look of the grill. I did not install it.

Your problem is not unlike any of the folks who installed a Raptor grill and lights. Perhaps there's some knowledge to be had checking in with those dudes?

In general, a well crafted splice shouldn't cause any problems. Take your time, solder and seal - good-to-go..

Working on installing the lights on this Grill now. I can confirm out of the box you get this:

I'm trying to avoid cutting into the main headlight harness so I ordered a splitter to pull out the low beam/ high beam positives from the harness: https://www.vividracing.com/lightfo...-ford-ranger-everest-raptors-p-152682560.html

The turn signals have odd plugs that I can't find splitters for and the plugs themselves are $80 a pop.

Probably just going to splice into the turn signals to see how that goes.

Any pics of the finished product?
