Just throwing a question out to all Ranger owners here.

Do you ever see any Heater Box, Condensate Draining out onto the driveway? Especially with this Heat Wave

I know approximately where the drain tube is, just not located it yet and want to ensure it is not clogged up, I know it does appear from pics it drain's just above the transmission bell housing.

I am coming up on 1 yr of ownership and don't recall ever seeing any condensate puddle under the truck, and just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same.

I have no issues with AC or wet floorboards, so just curious and looking for comparison to other Rangers.

If I idle for extended periods when its hot and humid, there will be a small puddle under the truck...otherwise, normal driving, I don't see that in my garage when I park...

When there is little to no humidity you usually don't have to worry about it much at all. Even with the heat I hardly noticed it with my Ranger

I was in the Outer Banks a month ago on the 4X4 beach, when I was airing up and the truck was idling there was a strong stream flowing out. I'm thinking this is normal due to the humidity @Frenchy pointed out, but to your point it was a surprising amount of fluid. I also felt a couple of drops hit my feet while driving (have to drive pretty slow when people are around on the beach). I'm guessing this part isn't necessarily normal, I'm not sure if it is happening all the time because the beach is really the only time I wear sandals where I would be able to feel it.

Although we have high temps here, the humidity is normally low. That said, I have never seen condensation from my Ranger or my Jeep but my Toyota Highland drops a good amount of condensation.

Edit:
Thinking about the difference in the vehicles, the Highlander has AC for the rear in addition to the front area. I wonder if that is why I see the condensation?

For the first year or more I never noticed water. I checked inside, no water. While in for routine service, I asked our service dept to check the drain. They said the drain was fine. When they were finished and parked it outside running, there was dripping and a puddle underneath. But I haven't noticed any water since. ?‍♂

I see some now and then. but i run my ac full tilt all the time.
I do get small puddles when I remote start and let Soupie sit there for 10 minutes (I set the AC to automatically come as cold as possible on in the summer with remote start).

Humidity here is moderate, but enough that other cars we've owned (two Corollas and a Scion) have also left small puddles.

Well today its 101 Deg, Humid as Heck and I saw a puddle - I'm jumping for joy, I don't have to crawl and contort my body to find the drain.

Duly noted it is a small puddle as compared to other vehicles being a river, as least I know it does drain. :handsinair: and the transmission appears to be the main reason it's not so evident and this goes into a Ranger Quirk collum and does not like Crying a River:LOL:
