My Ranger is yapping at me to change the engine oil. I did it last year and it was a bit of a PITA.
I have a sump to hose fitting I used on a past boat to simplify oil changes. It's a fitting that screws into a small block Chevy oil pan with a oil/gas rated hose with a pipe cap.
Trouble is I pitched the hose, but still have the fitting. If it will fit the Ranger's oil pan drain threads I'll have the local hyd. shop make me a hose with cap. This next oil change will be the same PITA, but if I can replace sump plug with the drain hose assy, next year's oil change will be a snap.
So, I think the fitting which fit a Chevy 4.3 1/2--something inch. I can verify.
What is the Rangers sump plug thread size?
Thanks.
