I'm looking into the windshield tint. Both places near me use 70%. One place is around a hundred bucks for just the windshield but it appears to have a blue look to it an he's a fairly new business. The place that did my side windows an visor is $175. I'm not sure it's worth it for 3 months a year.

They make a clear tint for the windshield now and it is about 100 bucks. I know the Linux dealer offered it here. Call I'll like my 35% and I don't have any problem at night with it since I changed my headlights to LED's. No only problem with the LEDs is sometimes people flash me but I've always got my middle finger on the trigger ready to give them a quick flashback to let them know they don't really want to see my brights. If the tint place knows what they're doing, they will use a heat gun on the tint when they're cutting it to size on the outside of the windshield because of the curve. If they don't it will never be right. Trust me, I've had about eight vehicles tinted. I also added a 6" tint strip of 5% for a sunvisor. No problem saying traffic lights at night. 70% ought to be just fine.

delirious, I say this with all due respect as it’s not something you realize until you get there. Yup bright lights are great from your view but for older people is a nightmare. As your eyes age they become sensitive to some types of light. Blue/white and bright not only momentarily blinds many of us the dark spots afterwards are even worse. It’s like someone holding up a black dot and you’re trying to see through it.

Being in Florida the percentage of elderly is higher than most other places in the country.

So, if you’re getting flashed for bright lights kindly take others into consideration. Because someday, you’ll be writing this.

really enjoying truck so far with 2 exceptions, if available plugs for all holes in rocker arms and probably to no avail, my truck sits 3/4" higher on passenger side than drivers.

Cut him some slack people he's relatively new here. Done isn't in our vocabulary around here and even after 2 years I'm still buying stuff for my Ranger. By looking at your list you're just getting started! Besides you still don't have the best mod out there and my new partner @Stage3Motorsports and I are here to help you out. Guys, note that our good friend Chuck did not say that he was done with add-ons/mods but rather that he was "just about done," which leaves him a lot of leeway to buy more stuff, thousands of dollars of leeway, by my count!

Thanks for that. I've only been flashed twice and I don't really drive much at night. I have lowered the aim a little bit and that makes all the difference. it's really the low riding cars that did it and both times it was a 2-lane dark road. Most of the roads I drive on are four-lane roads. I'm already a senior so I know what you're talking about. I have flashed other trucks who had LED lights because their lights were aimed up so high they even affected me on the dark roads. But in the future as a drive I will keep what you say in mind thanks.

my windshield has a slight tint you dont notice, but the entire windshield has a ceramic film applied, that reduces uv rays dramatically and keeps the temp down 15-20 degrees inside.. warranty is 10 years on it, was like 200 dollars to have it installed
