7 second delay

no, not that. probably normal but thought id ask. when i get in my truck on these hot days and turn on the ignition, there is about a 7 or 8 second delay before the fan starts blowing air out the vents. not a huge deal but a little annoying when its 140 degrees inside. never had a vehicle that didnt blow air the second you started it up.

I believe it delays to reduce the initial electrical load. When you roll the key on a lot of stuff needs to happen.

Yes mine does the same. Even if i do remote start. Its annoying. But oh well. Normal.

It takes about that long for the infotainment system to boot up and tell the body control module to activate the air conditioner and turn on the fan to begin circulating air in the cabin. Adding remote start, if you dont have it, could help if you are parking outside.

Remote start via fob works much more bettered than the app in my experience.

I agree, the app is slow and never works when I need it due to cell reception. The add-on remote start kit via ford or aftermarket works by the lock/unlock/lock remote fob button sequence and always works when in range.

Yeah I usually use fordpass to start the truck about a minute before I clock out.

If it's not blowing AC out by then, least it's removing all the hot air that's soaked in.

It's annoying when I use remote start to cool down my truck and the a/c cycles off (delays) when I place the key in the ignition switch to the run position.

If I have the A/C set on (from last time I drove) when I start up and tap AUTO in the climate control, it starts blowing right away.
