Really? The fender trim is not plastic? That surprises me. Every vehicle I've ever owned that had fender trim it has been plastic. Sometimes black, sometimes painted, but always plastic.

So I take back one of my previous statements. The fender trim is indeed separate from the body. I think it is actually plastic. But it is indeed body color under the black textured paint.

Oh I see, So it's painted body color, but then painted over with a trim color.

Not really the best situation for paint durability if that's the case. Fair warning to be careful with it.

My chili pepper red has magnetic wheels and magnetic trim. I'll definitely keep the high pressure spray away from it. I bet it's red underneath 1 layer of magnetic paint.

The trim around the wheel is plastic. I know so because it makes you drill holes in your brand new truck when you install the mud flaps, and you have to explain why you are going towards your brand new truck with a drill to your wife.

Sorry to see your damage. I found out the hard way that the matte black on the frames between the front and back doors is very flimsy vinyl.

What year & trim package do you have? I haven't looked at any 2020 models but all of the the 2019's that I've seen on the dealer's lot were not matte or textured & the black appearance pkg trucks I've seen were smooth gloss black.

So it's not black appearance package? I was asking because to me that doesn't look right........looks like somebody painted the trim themselves. It's hard to tell from the pic but the magnetic paint that's exposed doesn't even look like it was scuffed before painting. I could be way off here but I can't imagine Ford painting it magnetic & then painting it black afterwards.

Are your bumpers black? The trim is normally the same color as the bumpers (aside from chrome pkg)
