Hi all, this is my first thread. I was not able to find this specific topic. I own a 2019 ranger with the 4” display. I’d like to upgrade to the 8” infotainment system. I’ve seen some vendors online but all close to $2k. I’ve also seen 2019, 2020 infotainment systems available online from junked trucks. These usually are less than $200. Are these swappable or I have to spend big bucks on the new upgrade kits of I want the larger display? Thanks

I have not looked into this yet, as I have thought of a Sub upgrade myself, since purchase a year ago. I have the Lariat with B&O already.

But here is a similar thread for your current inquiry.
This is expensive but it at least will show a general idea of what you need to do it,
You will have to click on the left-hand side, below his name to see the website, and locate the Conversion Kit.

Here is there install video, so I think you could source all parts needed from different sources and do this fairly easily.
I believe the reason for such a high price from them is due to the fact they are using Ford (Parts) pricing and of course some mark-up profit of their own.

I am driving a 2021 XL with the tiny display. It is one of a very few complaints I have with this truck. It is a joke. The other major issue is the lack of a brake control with the trailer tow option. Both are hard to understand. My Ranger is a dealer ordered so I didn't have the choice at the time. I wish the dealer would have spent the extra thousand or so to get the larger display option. That option package also included the auto climate controls. A very useful add on. BTW... to fully upgrade to the larger screen requires two upgrade packages. Mine came with the first but not the second.

I started a thread on changing the 4" to 8" and folks gave info for aftermarket head units that will retain a lot of the factory stuff via wiring adapter kits. I have since found Scosche also offers a kit in addition to the infor in the thread I provided. Hope this helps
