I just installed BFGs 285/65/18s on factory rims. I had to remove crash bar covers, push them forward and rear and now I just barely clear. Not just on flat ground, but even flexing suspension and turning. I have a 2" lift in front and add a leaf in rear. I removed overload spring. My rear is 2" higher than stock. But I have more load resistance.

I just brought wheels and tires with same wheel size, based off a gentleman I met at the dealership with a 2" leveling kit and says he never had an issue.
The only difference is used the same brand and model tire from factory just went to a 18" since he brought aftermarket wheels.

That looks good. How much clearance do you have from the steering knuckle on the inside?

no issues while backing up at full lock? I swapped my front intrusion bars to BDS as I had a very small rub on the front left, better safe than sorry. But I am using a +30 18" wheel, not the stock +55's.
with the stock the 285/65/18's are very close to the knuckle, many are running a 1/4" spacer.

I'm using 1" spacer on stock wheel. Close by no running.
