If your serious about this mod really think it through. As others had mentioned get the kits as a complete package like Fox 2.0 or Icon that includes all 4 shocks, UCA’s and then stuff is going to go way smoother. Oh! Better have some deep pockets too. When it’s all said and done with rims and tires with install at least 5K.
I'll pay top dollar for parts. It wouldn't be my first rodeo messing with suspension either. Did coils on a miata and bags on my mustang. I'm looking at the icon stage 2 kit.

Do their upper control arms work with a cast steel spindle. There was mid year change in 2020...

Most companies designed and released control arms for the earlier aluminum spindle..

3 companies currently make control arms for cast spindles..
Camburg, apg, and i cant remember.. id have to go look for the uca for cast spindle threads
They only work with aluminum spindles. I have no idea what my 2020 xlt 4x4 has

And it doesn't stop there. Bigger tires are heavier and have more rotating mass so you will get worse gas mileage if that's any concern for you OP. Depending on the offset and the wheels sticking out from the wells will add some drag too. 3" lift will add more drag. Just throwing it out there OP so sure not surprised if/when you're only getting 17-18 mpg or worse.

Hit up Stage 3 on here and see if they can discount you on a buy. That’s a nice setup as I’m contemplating Icon or Fox for my ride. I won’t lift as much as you or do tires so just a suspension change. Still a few bucks though! ?

Just wanted to make sure because so many people do these mods then complain about their mileage. The truck will look great but once you hit the highway you'll pay for it. ?

If gas get to 5 bucks a gallon you’ll be crying for sure! It just might get there the way things are going too. Many members here are trying to squeeze as much mileage as they can now knowing what’s coming ?

Think most are sending out sleeves with their kits now to deal with this. Changeover happened this past summer sometime so everything from that point on is steel.

For about $240 you can change them out to aluminum ones. Seeing everything is going to be dismantled it would be the best time to swap! That takes away the UCA’s taper problem

With all the chatter on here lately about those cast iron knuckles, I never thought to think about taper differences. So glad I have the aluminum.
