I'm looking to buy these Fuel Zephyr in 17's in either a -12 or +1 offset and wrap them in 33in tires. Will they rub and if they do would 32's still rub?

If your suspension is stock they will certainly rub.

32's will fit with a leveling kit.

33's will require leveling kit and usually crash bars.

I have Fuel Shok 17x9 with +20 offset and 265/70/17 tires on a 2" leveling kit and no rubbing at all.

Hey Alex, Those will look pretty sharp. Rangers don’t really need a negative offset to get a lot of poke. Zeros, +12s or +15s push our wheels out quite far.

A 3” lift will help with clearance but you’ll need new UCAs to deal with the added articulation. You should also be prepared to get some after market crash bars - your offset choices are quite low and could give you some rubbing issues.

I’m running 32.2” tires with a +15mm offset wheel with a 2-1/2” lift and I just clear the crash bars. If I was at zero offset or had 33s, I’m convinced I’d rub.

Good luck getting it all figured out and post some pics when you’re all set up.

Upper Control Arms - they bolt to the frame and house the upper ball joints. The stock upper control arms are wide and flat. With a 3” lift, they can get hung up with the added articulation the lift allows for. So, narrow, usually tubular UCAs should be swapped in. Most good 3” lift kits will include these. A simple 3” level kit likely does not.

If your serious about this mod really think it through. As others had mentioned get the kits as a complete package like Fox 2.0 or Icon that includes all 4 shocks, UCA’s and then stuff is going to go way smoother. Oh! Better have some deep pockets too. When it’s all said and done with rims and tires with install at least 5K.

Just looked and the icon stage 2 kit comes with uca's so that'll be covered
Do their upper control arms work with a cast steel spindle. There was mid year change in 2020...

Most companies designed and released control arms for the earlier aluminum spindle..

3 companies currently make control arms for cast spindles..
Camburg, apg, and i cant remember.. id have to go look for the uca for cast spindle threads
