I'd have to try it, but I think I'd prefer the pinch variety. I've had bad trailer sway on I-70 and I-80 where I needed to be able to hit my trailer brakes in a near-emergency. I want that intuitive quick way to access the trailer breaks while not using the truck brakes to help stop the sway while maintaining control.Initial leaks for the Gladiator reported it did not have a brake controller. On the on-line configurator they added the option. The brake controller replaces the 12v lighter. I think something similar would be great on the Ranger. It is adjustable by pushing and turning instead of the traditional pinch motion.
