I'm not sure who you spoke with but when I talked with Lu, he's the one who told me they're the same company. Also in a few of the reviews (I cant remember if they were Amazon or YouTube) several people said they ordered the RV45 and received an Iceco VL45 and that was directly from Setpower.

I can call Lu and ask him too if you'd like. I've had a few long conversations with him a bout the Bronco and cars in general and tell him what you're looking to do. He's either the owner of Setpower or someone high up because he was able to guarantee my price from their Black Friday sale when I was ready to buy 5-6 months later. I ended up getting mine in January and he honored the price and upgraded me for no charge.
Feel free to reach out to him - I'm always in favor of someone being able to help us get a better deal, especially if it saves us the time of having to provide estimated interest numbers lol!
My response from IceCo was via email so I'm sure the person responding was just a customer service rep and given the time they responded, they are definitely overseas. Setpower also responded at almost the same exact time so it tracks that the same people or place are responding for both companies.

The times when I've called Setpower it's always 9:00 am CA time so they do have a US base and warehouse here. Mine were direct shipped from CA and being here in AZ I received them within 2 days. Maybe they have someone overseas who also answers the emails when they're closed or busy here in the US? I'll try reaching Lu when they open and let you know.

Damn this thread!!! Family is going to start going camping and the first 2 things I want is a small 12volt fridge for Meat, eggs, sandwich type stuff and a power generator to power it
If you're just getting them into camping, there's not need to spend a ton of money. If you do splurge, make it on good clothing and sleep system stuff, not a fridge.

Start another thread if you want tips on gear and where to find campsites and stuff. Tag me (or DM me a link) and I'll drop a bunch of info and recs in there.

I'm going to throw a wrench into the mix as I just received an email from Iceco. They have a new fridge/freezer coming out in June and you can get in on an early sale price through Indiegogo. There are 2 models JP40 Pro and the JP50 Pro and the special price is $449 and $499. There's a slide mount for $199 and they also come with the better Danfoss/Secop compressor, and a UV sterilization.

Wha't new is there's an external magnetic battery pack you can buy for $199 which attaches to the side and it will charge the cooler for 8.5 hours. So for someone who needs to power it for short periods this is great and there's no need to lug around a power station. There's 2 USB outputs and a DC output on the side of the battery so you can use this for more than just the cooler. The lids are 3 way so you can lift from left or right or take the top completely off. Pictures and videos are in the link below. I don't really need this right now but it's such a good price I might just get one.

Edit:
It looks like it's a protected site for some reason but if you go to the Indiegogo site then in the search bar (magnifying glass top left) type in Iceco it's the first picture.

The battery is a great feature! I just bought mine too and this one would be more convenient for my needs but it's not launching until sometime in June.

those beers foaming over isn't exactly the best way to advertise the fact that you can roll that fridge through the woods....

otherwise, that removable battery is a pretty cool feature. don't have to lug it around if you won't use it. but if you do need it, it's super easy to slap it on.

I wonder about the dimensions of the fridge, though. seems awful tall and narrow compared to lots of fridges on the market. might be more prone to tipping over unless you secure it in your vehicle. finding a place for something like this in my camper would be MORE challenging.

There's really not much of a difference in dimension from the AJ fridge they already have out now. Check out the pictures below and you can see both inside and outside dimensions.

I'm just not as much a fan of the "tall and narrow" shape.

I'm comparing to my dometic CFX3 55IM, which is:
Depth: 17.91"
Height: 18.90"
Width: 28.35"

So comparatively speaking, the depth and height are closer together, and for a larger volume (55L/58qt), it's not as tall (so fits better under a shelf).

When I was shopping for coolers, I specifically shopped for whichever one fit under a specific shelf. Folks looking to fit into a taller, narrower space might prefer the Iceco, of course. But if putting onto a slide or in the back of a pickup or something, I don't think I like the tall/narrow shape as much.

A lot of them come similar to those dimensions. I'm guessing it's a standard mould the have in China and pump them out for several companies and just rebrand them. I guess you could always strap the handles down to the bed tie downs, just not the middle ones because most don't have them. :lipssealed:

I bought mine for our summer trip so I'll have it on the back seat with the power station on the floor. It should sit flat and not be "tippy" especially with all the stuff we'll have we can pack it in tight. I thought about wiring up a plug in the bed but I've never needed one in almost 3 years and don't feel like doing this for a one time use. There's a lot of choices now where just a few years ago you were limited to mostly higher end and priced ones.

Here's a good video of the new JP50 Pro. You can really see how large this fridge is while he's standing next to it and side x side next to the JP30.

I can vouch for Iceco, my JP40 that I picked up late last year has been excellent. I’ve filled up every inch of it and it has kept my beers ice cold. A couple weeks ago my parents home fridge had the compressor acting up. I took it and tossed all the freezer stuff inside. Kept everything frozen for the few days it was plugged in.

One of my last trips to Ocala NF I got to try it along with my Bluetti AC50S and the solar panels using pass through charging. Clear skies and nearly 100W of input put a smile to my face. I just made sure to keep the fridge in the shade as much as I could.

Both Iceco and Setpower have agreed to give forum members a 12% discount on purchases. I'm waiting to hear back from them on the codes and how long they will be good for. I'll update this thread and the poll once I get those details.
I don't need a cooler but I would like the magnetic battery pack when they are available for the cooler I have.
