9 out of 10 of the trucks on that list are mid-size or smaller, which suggests that they're comparing all trucks regardless of size. I fully expect that my mid-size truck wouldn't pull as much as a full-size truck; it also didn't pull as much out of my wallet....at least, until I came here....
And yet it is rated to pull 25% more than my 2005 Ranger was (5000 lbs)....

Stupid article.....

I find it funny how they will compare an Off-road model truck(Frontier) to a base model vehicle(Ranger for great example in the article) and note how the Off-road model can't handle as much. Well first off I can tell you the Frontier can handle the load just fine. I had a 2016 D40 with the 4.0 and a 5 speed Auto. I can guarantee the new Frontier with the 3.8(that has more power) and with a 9 speed will certainly handle the weight better. Yes it would be nice if it were turbocharged like the Ranger but I suspect Nissan has their reasons.

Only legit thing in there was the ridgeline. But then its not even A truck.
Neither is a Maverick by that measure.

Garbage article as well.

There are plenty of 1/2 tons with 10,000-pound tow ratings that have less payload than my Ranger.

You get up into the Platinum and Limited F150's and they're so weighed down with power garbage that I've seen them with as little as 1400#'s of payload.
