Lately I keep looking at the F150 with a single cab and the V8. With a locking rear diff and a loud exhaust it would be a sweet hooligan truck. Not to mention the Ford Performance Supercharger.

Are the cooled seats still as loud as a hairdryer on the Fords?
No sound coming from the AC seats that I notice.. YOu do get more for your money with the bigger PU. Love the V8 sound when you put yer foot into it!

When they first started putting them in lariats years ago they were pretty noisy. I guess they figured it out.

if you were getting 21/17 in a Ranger you were doing something wrong (unless heavily modified for off-roading).

My WORST average fuel economy in mine is about 21mpg, and that's wintertime city driving in a hilly city.
I see 17 to 18 mpg on a regular basis. The only mods on my truck are an Eibach leveling kit and Tremor tires/wheels. Both mods probably cost me 1 mpg. My commute to work is @ 7 miles in stop and go traffic. A short commute with stop and go traffic equals poor fuel economy in the Ranger.

I have a loaded Ram dually for big stuff & towing the Jeep & camper, the Ranger handles about 90% of everything else I need to do and is easier to run around town in & park.

On the freeway I should amend to the Ranger got 24 mpg and the F150 not broken in yet gets 21 mpg.
